We take whole corn, wash it and then
pre-cook and soak for 18 hours to soften the kernels.
Then the Corn is ground into corn masa
(dough) and extruded (forced through our equipment with pressure) into corn
chips. The masa comes out openings in the machine as long ribbons and is
cut to length. These are dropped into oil and cooked.
Then it's out of the cooker and off
to the packaging machines.
